Training: Matthew is originally from Sheffield. He trained at Maureen Law Theatre School, Sharon Berry School of Dance and Laine Theatre Arts, graduating in 2007 with a National Diploma in Musical Theatre.

Theatre includes: understudy Zeke in Irving Berlin’s White Christmas (2011-12 UK tour), understudying and playing Amos Hart and Mary Sunshine in Chicago (Cambridge Theatre), Shall We Dance (Sadler’s Wells), Wicked (Apollo, Victoria), understudying and playing Eugene in Grease (Piccadilly), featured singer in An Evening with Val Doonican and Friends (London Palladium), understudy Hook in Peter Pan (Belfast Opera House), understudy Prince Charming in Cinderella (New Wimbledon) and understudying and playing Larry in A Chorus Line (Crucible, Sheffield).

Television includes: A Royal Gala, Opening Gala for the Wales Millennium Centre 2004, The Royal Variety Performance 2005, and a featured dancer in Elvis Mania, Madonna Mania, Disco Mania 2 and Abba Mania 2.
