Ian is a director, designer and filmmaker working with all forms of video for live performance.

Theatre includes: The Tempest and The Lion In Winter (Haymarket), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Headlong), Flashdance (West End), The Gods Weep (RSC), Beautiful Burnout and Lovesong (Frantic Assembly), The Missing (National Theatre of Scotland),  The Kreutzer Sonata, Medea/Medea and Nocturnal (Gate), Freerun (Udderbelly), Midnight Your Time (Hightide), Hitchcock Blonde (Houston Alley Theatre and South Coast Repertory, LA), EPIC (Foster & Dechery), The Spanish Tragedy and On the Record (Arcola).

Opera includes: Eugene Onegin (ENO), Sancta Suzanna and Von Heute auf Morgen (Opéra de Lyon), The Lion’s Face and Seven Angels (The Opera Group), Hotel de Pekin (Nationale Reisopera) and Les Enfants Terribles (Arcola).

Other work includes: touring the UK, Europe and Japan as a musician, designing and directing projections for concerts (Leona Lewis, Tom Vek, Riz MC) and directing music videos and shorts. He works as part of Mesmer, a collective of video and projection designers working across theatre, dance, music, fashion and the arts.
